Tryout information (for April 2010 tryouts) follows:
Why try-out for the Acton Tanners
Players have the opportunity to play representative hockey and learn more about the sport while making great friends and a life-time of memories
Wonderful family experience for players, parents and siblings
Games are played within the Tri-County Region
Players play 14 home and 14 away games, then play-offs
Teams participate in both OMHA and Tri-County play-offs.
Teams participate in local and away tournaments

Dry-land Training
Teams from Novice to Midget (8 year olds to 17 year olds)
To be active and play one of Canada’s finest winter sports
The value to play rep versus house league is minimal and affordable when you do a cost comparison with number of games vs. practices: rep vs. house league
Enjoy the competition and team bonding
Enjoy the challenge
Minimum of one practice and one game per week
Socks and jerseys are included in registration fees
Why Spring Try-outs
To build strong and competitive teams for the 2010-11 hockey season
Players have an opportunity to do some team building during summer months
Player development with coaches prior to season
Allow for team fund-raising activities to take place prior to season starting
Allows for team bonding and allows parents and players to get to know each other
Try-out Fee
Please note that try-out fees include a minimum of 4 try-outs (in April) and 4 player development sessions (in September).
Novice $70.00
Atom/Peewee/Bantam/Midget $80.00
(Must be paid before first try-out date otherwise player is not permitted on ice)
This fee can be paid at the arena at first night of try-out.
